Tigers 6 – Dodgers 2

The Detroit Tigers challenged the the Los Angeles Dodgers yesterday at Dodger Stadium with the Tigers earning the win 6 to 2. It was one heck of a game that devotees with Tigers tickets will definitely cherish.

Tigers pitcher Rick Porcello (5.58 ERA) got the win, while Hiroki Kuroda (3.03 ERA) took the loss for the Dodgers. Rick Porcello went 6 innings for the Tigers, allowed 9 hits, no home runs and 2 earned runs with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Tigers was Ryan Perry (2.41), Phil Coke (3.43), and Jose Valverde (0.46). The Dodgers’s starter Hiroki Kuroda went 6 innings, allowed 6 hits, one home run and 3 earned runs with one walk and 5 strikeouts. Jeff Weaver (3.09), Ronald Belisario (6.28), and George Sherrill (7.36) also pitched for the Dodgers. With the win, Porcello’s record goes to 4-4, while Kuroda is at 5-2.

In addition to the 6 runs, the Tigers scored 9 hits and committed one error. Danny Worth led the Tigers in hitting with 3 hits, followed by Magglio Ordonez’s 2 hits, and Johnny Damon with 2.
