Braves take close one from Dodgers

The Atlanta Braves barely got a “W” over the Los Angeles Dodgers yesterday at Dodger Stadium with the Braves winning 4 to 3. It was quite a game that followers with Braves tickets will be talking about for days. In fact all sports are a great time so check out what sports tickets are out there.

Braves pitcher Kris Medlen (2.79 ERA) got the win, while Hiroki Kuroda (3.63 ERA) took the loss for the Dodgers. Kris Medlen went 7.1 solid innings for the Braves, allowed 6 hits, no home runs and 2 earned runs with no walks and 4 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Braves was Peter Moylan (2.78), Eric O’Flaherty (2.45), and Takashi Saito (2.92). The Dodgers’s starter Hiroki Kuroda went 6 innings, allowed 7 hits, one home run and 3 earned runs with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts. Justin Miller (0.00), and Ronald Belisario (5.49) also pitched for the Dodgers. With the win, Medlen’s record goes to 3-1, while Kuroda falls to 5-4. Jonny Venters earned the save for the Braves, bringing his saves up to 1.

In addition to the 4 runs, the Braves managed 8 hits and committed 2 errors. It wasn’t a huge day for anyone at the plate for the Braves, as nobody managed more than 2 hits. Martin Prado had a tough day at the plate, leaving 4 runners on base. The Dodgers didn’t have anyone with a big night with not one batter getting more than 2 hits. The Dodgers managed 3 runs, 7 hits and one error.

Umpiring duties were performed by D.J. Reyburn, Gerry Davis, Mike Muchlinski and Greg Gibson. There were 35,333 Dodgers ticket holders in attendance at Dodger Stadium.
