The Florida Marlins narrowly defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers yesterday at Dodger Stadium with the Marlins coming out on top 6 to 5. It was a solid match that aficionados with Marlins tickets won’t soon forget.
Marlins pitcher Nate Robertson (4.94 ERA) got the win, while John Ely (4.07 ERA) took the loss for the Dodgers. Nate Robertson went 6 innings for the Marlins, allowed 7 hits, one home run and 3 earned runs with one walk and 2 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Marlins was Jose Veras (5.68), and Clay Hensley (2.52). The Dodgers’s starter John Ely went 2.2 innings, allowed 9 hits, no home runs and 5 earned runs with one walk and 3 strikeouts. Leo Nunez earned the save for the Marlins, bringing his saves up to 18.
