Astros pitcher Gustavo Chacin (4.66 ERA) got the win, while Ramon Troncoso (4.84 ERA) took the loss for the Dodgers. Nelson Figueroa went 4.2 innings for the Astros, allowed 5 hits, one home run and 4 earned runs with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Astros was Tim Byrdak (3.19), Jeff Fulchino (5.65), Fernando Abad (2.84), and Matt Lindstrom (3.72). The Dodgers’s starter Carlos Monasterios went 1.1 innings, allowed 5 hits, one home run and 3 earned runs with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Jeff Weaver (4.75), Ronald Belisario (5.33), and Octavio Dotel (4.06) also pitched for the Dodgers. With the win, Chacin’s record goes to 2-2, while Troncoso falls to 1-3. Brandon Lyon earned the save for the Astros, bringing his saves up to 15.
